Status Saver (“the App”) is a free application that allows users to save WhatsApp status updates (images and videos) directly to their device.

This App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to WhatsApp Inc. WhatsApp is a registered trademark of WhatsApp Inc.

About the App

Status Saver operates entirely on your device. The App allows you to select a folder on your phone where saved files will be stored. Status updates (images and videos) are accessed only from your device’s local storage using Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF).

The App does not upload, transmit, or store status content on any external server. No account registration or login is required to use the App.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Contacts
• Location data
• Status content or saved media files
• Messages or chat data

The App does not transmit your saved files or status updates to any server.

Information Stored on Your Device Only

The following information is stored locally on your device:

• Theme preference (light, dark, or system default)
• Notification preference
• The folder you select for saving statuses
• The images and videos you choose to save

All saved media remains on your device in the folder you selected. If you uninstall the App, previously saved files remain in that folder unless you manually delete them.

Permissions

The App requests storage access in order to allow you to:

• Select a folder for saving media
• Read locally stored status media
• Save selected images and videos

The App only accesses files necessary to provide its functionality, and all access remains local to your device.

The App does not access contacts, microphone, camera, or location services.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Google Play Services – Used for distributing and updating the App through the Google Play Store.

Firebase Crashlytics – Used for crash reporting to improve app stability and performance.

Crash reports may include technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and anonymous diagnostic data. Crash data does not include status media files, personal messages, or personal identifiers.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.

Data Security

The App does not collect or store personal data on external servers. Any crash reporting data transmitted through Firebase Crashlytics is encrypted in transit using industry-standard security measures.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised accordingly.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
